About Two+.
The talent was there.
The model wasn't.

You shouldn't have to choose between ambition and the life you want.

Two people can bring more to one role than one alone. It's what we build for others, and how we work ourselves. Here's how it started:

Why do we have to choose?

The Question

We built our careers in demanding professional environments, and loved the challenge, ambition and people that came with them.

But as our lives changed, we didn't stop loving the work. We just wanted more choice in how we did it.

So we started asking: could there be another way to have a fulfilling career without compromising on ambition? And could businesses keep exceptional people, rather than losing them when life changed?

Why isn't this the norm?

The Problem

The more we talked to other professionals, the more we realised our experience wasn't unique.

Exceptional people wanted to keep contributing at a high level, but couldn't, or didn't want to, fit their lives around a traditional full-time role.

At the same time, businesses still needed experienced, committed professionals for roles built around one person working full time.

Exceptional people were ready. The roles weren't built for them.

We'd already seen glimpses of what was possible.

The Inspiration

Shoko spent 11 years in management consulting at Bain & Company, where part-time and job-share arrangements were gradually being introduced. Before having children, she worked alongside teammates who successfully held client-facing roles on 60% or 80% schedules.

After having children, Shoko moved into Bain's Talent team, helping to staff consultants on client work, while she and her manager both worked part time. It was proof that a demanding, time-sensitive role didn't have to rest on one person working full time, and that with the right setup, two people could achieve more together.

Working in staffing also showed her first-hand how much success depends on getting the fit right: the right team, the right role and the right structure. When those come together, people do their best work.

So, why not in finance? Yixin's career in trading and investing never offered a part-time or job-share option. But when we started digging, we found some remarkable success stories that simply weren't widely known. In one, a pair of senior (VP/MD) salespeople worked together for many years and became the top-performing duo at their firm.

Together, these experiences became the foundations of Two+Talent: proof that shared roles can work, and an understanding that making them work starts with the right match.

Making the model work in practice.

The Answer

At Two+Talent, we bring together two complementary professionals to share one role, giving businesses greater continuity and professionals more choice, without stepping back.

A successful partnership takes great communication, shared commitment and the right setup. But finding the right match is the first, and hardest, step. That's where we come in.

We know it works because we do it ourselves. Two+Talent is a partnership of two, and every day we see how much more we bring together than either of us could alone.
